Aqualine has always been at the forefront of canal barge development with a superb range of narrow boat/narrowbeam, wide beam and Dutch Barge boats. Over the years Aqualine’s approach has lead the canal boat industry with innovative designs and enviable manufacturing techniques. Never one to rest on their laurels 2010 saw Aqualine introduce a whole new level of narrow and widebeam boats called the Editions range.

Working closely with interior design company ‘Bayswater’, Aqualine has given their popular layouts extra appeal. The design team were briefed to develop a series of unique narrow boat Special Editions and wide beam Limited Editions boats, with each boat being carefully planned to reflect modern design principles and current interior trends.

Colour schemes, styling and detailing are all hand selected which is the underlying principle to making each boat design individually unique. Farrow & Ball paints have been used on the galley units whilst painted panels have been cleverly used to bring a light and airy feel to the living areas. Solid wood flooring and hand made furniture have been adorned with inlaid banding and fluted edging respectively, gunwale trims are enhanced with silver finish inlay trims – just some of the features that have been incorporated on designs to date.

Yet the beauty of an Editions boat is more than skin deep as they also come with desirable touches to compliment the demands of modern life. For instance the LE boats have extra wardrobe space in the bedroom with floor to ceiling, double mirrored doors – hand built under gunwale storage units, a galley with clever full height larder units – the list is almost endless.

Every Editions boat is unique which is ideal for customers looking for something individual. What’s more production of each Editions boat is limited further enhancing their appeal. To find out more about the Editions collection please contact either the Derby or Blisworth sales office.
