July’s issue of Waterway’s World has a massive 5 page article extolling the virtues of Aqualine’s widebeam craft – the Canterbury. Writer Mark Langley runs his keen Technical Editor’s eye over every aspect of the boat to almost microscopic level, whilst putting it through its paces on the Trent & Mersey Canal. Not surprisingly the Canterbury came through with flying colours on all areas receiving impressive comment on the quality of steelwork, paint finish, internal specification and handling. Written with a more technical angle the article gives a refreshingly and slightly different view of the features of an Aqualine widebeam. And of course it’s independent. |

"...having seen first hand the way in which the parts of the operation were assembled, and examined the finished product. I have to say that I am impressed." |

"I was impressed by the quality of the carpentry, of the finish of the cupboards. There was no MDF. It was all solid wood.

“…step in through the half glazed front doors and you’ll undoubtedly be impressed – we were.”
“It really is a smartly thought through boat with lots of well considered details.”
“One thing is for sure, the bar has been raised and the Manhattan sets tough standards for the others to match.” |

“...there are plenty of standard features, like the inverter charger, granite work surfaces and diesel heating system." |

“The all-oak joinery work is first rate – not a flawed joint to be seen, and a match in both quality and style for
a number of significantly more expensive boats at the show.” |
Canal Boat, August 2007. Crick Show report by Kevin Blick. |
“…feels luxurious aboard without the price tag”
“…typical of the high standard of workmanship that goes into the Aqualine range” |

“Carolyn and I have been searching for a boatbuilder for some considerable time as we are going to live aboard our 'dream'. We had seen several Aqualine craft at various shows and were initially impressed by the presentation and specification of the boats and the professionalism and friendly approach of the staff. We decided to take up their offer of a visit to the factory at Gdansk. What an experience! From the moment we met our travelling companions early one morning at Luton Airport, to our return three days later, nothing was too much trouble. All questions were answered, no matter how daft, complex or trivial, accommodation, meals and entertainment were first class. The factory was a revelation. I had long ceased to believe that craftsmanship and pride in work of the standard we saw was possible. I was so impressed with the level of quality control, nothing but the best throughout the whole process, from steelwork to fit-out to paint, excellent. A huge thank you to the staff in the design office who not only put up with our interruption to their work but actually seemed to enjoy solving our problems and queries, and especially to Kas for teaching us some Polish swear words. Finally Gdansk itself was an eyeopener, a lovely city, full of stunning buildings and friendly people. We will be going back for a holiday. Thank you Sam and Aqualine. Can't wait till our boat arrives.
Best wishes.” |

“The Aqualine is everything we had hoped for and more. The quality of the workmanship and materials has
produced a ‘Wow factor’ from everyone who has been on board.” |

“All our questions were answered, not just about the boat itself, but also the stuff we knew
nothing about, like mooring rights, running costs and licensing issues.” |

“When we first looked on board an Aqualine Manhattan we were smitten, since delivery of
our own boat in July 2005 we’ve spent many hours aboard and can’t fault it.” |

“We love our boat, buying it and ordering it without even stepping foot in your offices was easy and worry free,
the quality is fabulous, and you're all really helpful and friendly.” |
From Lesley Tillett, who was the very first customer to order an Aqualine boat, in April 2004 |

“(Delivering a boat for a friend) was my first introduction to an Aqualine, and to say that I was impressed would be an understatement. She handled like a dream and that’s very important when you’re singlehanded on a lengthy trip involving a lot of locks”
“Six months on and with 200 hours on the engine, we remain absolutely delighted with our boat. From stem to stern the Aqualine design just speaks quality, both internally and externally. In our opinion, their range definitely has the edge over the competition.“ |
